During the summer, the weather in the Lagos del Furioso region tends to be cool, sunny, and very dry. Temperatures range from 10ºC at sea level to a maximum of 30ºC, with a daily average of 18ºC. They diminish nearly 1ºC with every 100 metres of elevation.
You will use some lightweight summer wear, but remember that the strong sunlight and the presence of thorny plants make shorts a problem on hikes and horseback rides.
Warm, lightweight clothing is what you will use most. Bring along a warm jacket for walking near glaciers and hiking in high-altitude areas, or for an occasional cold day, and a lightweight waterproof windbreaker in case of a sudden heavy shower.
A hat with a chinstrap, sunglasses, and sunblock cream are also musts.
Canvas shoes or alpargatas with smooth soles may be comfortable for travelling, but lightweight trekking shoes are better for hikes on adventure trails.
